Jeremy Lawrence, M.Sc.

After conducting a research project and completing my Master’s thesis under the supervision of Prof. Peters, I am now continuing my academic journey by pursuing a Ph.D. in his research group. Following his departure, he continues to serve as my external supervisor, while I am co-supervised by Prof. Habets. My previous research focused on sound source localization of unknown acoustic sources using only a single microphone. To achieve this seemingly impossible task, we developed a microphone which rotates at speeds of up to 42 rotations per second. My current research focuses on the localization of silent humans using loudspeakers and microphones by analyzing the subtle perturbations that human presence introduces into room acoustics.
